Search for ways various organizations are asking for help this holiday season.Sign up as a family to volunteer.
Holiday Package
Create a holiday care package for someone who needs some extra holiday cheer. Include a card, photos, and a few special treats.
Thank you Notes
Write thank you notes to the people who helped you most this year, including your school administrators and teachers, doctors, therapists, etc. Share with them all the reasons why you're grateful for them.
PEACE
Photo Album
Start a digital photo album or a family social media account to keep track of Christmas fun.
Donate & Gift
Go through your closets and home to organize and donate items you don't need or no longer fit to create space.
Hot chocolate
Enjoy some hot chocolate and talk about your favorite moments of the year.
Family Hike
Take a family hike and celebrate your wins from this year. Share what you're most proud of, who helped you achieve something, and how you can help someone else achieve their goals.
Community Christmas
Check out your local listings for your city's Christmas parade and tree lighting. Grab some lawn chairs and hot cocoa and enjoy the holiday lights and floats.

Cookie Decorating
Invite friends and family over to decorate holiday-inspired cookies.
Scavenger Hunt
Create a simple Christmas scavenger hunt list. Spend some time walking or driving through neighborhoods to see if you can spot any items on your list.
Holiday Dinner
Head to the library to grab some books about how other cultures celebrate the holidays. Find a restaurant with holiday food different than your family's.
Dance Party
Turn on some holiday music and have a family dance party in your living room.
Holiday Movie Night
Put on some cozy pajamas and watch your favorite holiday movie.
LOVE
Holiday Cards
Call, write a letter, or send an email to a family member or friend to share how grateful you are for them and your hopes for them in the new year.
Acts of Kindness
Make a list of holiday-inspired acts of kindness you can show to those in service industries, such as delivery drivers, grocery store employees, or hospital employees.
Make a plan to do at least one act of kindness this week.
Family Food Traditions
Make a food item your family always makes this time of year. If you don't have a food you typically cook, search for a new recipe to incorporate into your holiday meal plan.
Prayer Journal
Ask your friends and family members what their prayer requests are. Grab a notebook and jot down their requests to keep track of them as you remember to pray for them each week.
Family Ornament
Create or purchase a Christmas tree ornament that represents something meaningful for your family. Make sure to write the date on the back or bottom of the ornament.

Remember & Share
Think about the past year and all of the prayers God answered. Share how you felt before and after God answered those prayers.
Christmas Story
Read the story of Jesus' birth together by candlelight.
Celebrating Gifts
Make a note of the gifts/abilities you notice God has given each of your family members. During a meal time, share with each other what you believe those gifts are.
Christmas Lights
Take a walk or drive to admire the holiday lights and decorations.
Birthdays Celebration
Discuss ways you can celebrate Jesus'® birthday in a fun, different way this year.
Some ideas could include making a birthday cake, having a special birthday dinner, or simply lighting a candle to remember the reason we celebrate Christmas.
